Established Akita Iwata Mfg. Co., Ltd., a spray gun plant in Omagari, Akita Prefecture, Japan
1975
Established Fukushima Iwata Mfg. Co., Ltd. and a compressor plant in Yabukicho, Fukushima Prefecture, Japan
1987
Established the joint venture Taiwan Iwata Industrial Co., Ltd., an overseas affiliated company, marking the first time that a Japanese painting company had begun overseas production
1988
Established the joint venture compressor sales company Powerex-Iwata with Campbell Hausfeld. Established the joint venture sales company Iwata Italia S.R.L. in Turin, Italy
1989
Established the joint venture company Atlas Copco Iwata K.K. in Fukushima Prefecture, Japan, to manufacture rotary compressors of up to 90 kW
1991
Marketed air-cooled oil-free scroll compressors. Established the sales company Iwata Europe to market Iwata products (excluding compressors) in Europe
1992
Established Iwata France S.A. in Lyon, France.
Established the joint venture Shanghai Iwata Coating Machinery Corporation in Shanghai, China, to manufacture spray painting equipment
1993
The first vacuum pump in the world is produced, based on the "Oil-free scroll" technology. Established the sales company Iwata U.K. Ltd. in Dorset, U.K. for the distribution of products to the U.K. market.
The Mother Company obtain the ISO 9002 certification in October.
1994
Established Iwata America Inc. in Auburn, Washington, U.S.A.
1996
The Mother Company obtain the ISO 9001 certification in February.
The Japanese Mother Company modifies its corporate name to ANEST IWATA CORPORATION and subsequently the other group members follow, adding "Anest" to their company name
1997
The company Air Gunsa s.r.l., Cardano al Campo, Italy, is bought
1998
Launch of High T.E.C. range of spray painting guns
1999
A branch office is opened in Ilsfeld-Auenstein, Germany
2000
The Scandinavian office opened in Lerum, Sweden; today the office is in Partille
2002
Anest Iwata won the core case against Sata.
Celebrated the Anest Iwata Europe 10th Anniversary
2004
Launch of Mix & Spray Cup, a revolutionary disposable gravity cup system.
